Oh my gosh, that is so cool. O__o I love the way you drew him. Yeah, his mane isn't normally that fluffy, but it looks really cool like this anyway! His expression is great, too, and I think it really suits him. I also really like his tail and paws, especially the back right paw. It fits really well with the pose, if that makes sense (like, the angle and stuff looks really good).

The shadow beneath him looks cool too, and I don't think it needs a background - it looks great just like that.

I liked his back story, and I just thought it was neat that the he could never really escape that dark part of him. Like you can never run from your shadow, you know? XD

Yeah, maybe that's why I thought the shadow in the picture worked really well - because it really fits in with the idea of him not being able to escape the darkness!
