My 5k kiriban was kinda lame. My husband caught it. XD
I still owe him art. I promised I'd photoshop one of his linearts for him. :3

So... I'm going to Disneyland this weekend. o_o
Like in a few hours. o_____o

They had a special deal for the military,
and we didn't think it'd be so inexpensive, so it would be silly not to go.
Four of us are going, with three day park hoppers and two nights at a hotel,
for only $300. @____@ Plus our Amtrak tickets to Anaheim, which are dirt cheap.

The most expensive thing is going to be the food. XD
But I outsmarted those suckers. I kept our specialty cups from
our honeymoon to Disneyworld that gets us half off on refills. >D

I cannot believe the randomness of it all, I'm so excited.
My husband really was like "Hey, wanna go to Disneyland next weekend?"
And I didn't have to make all the plans by myself for once! XD

Things have settled down now that my husband's back from Japan.
He has to start going back to work on Monday,
but it's been fun having him home with me everyday.

Sorry I really haven't had the urge to update here recently.
I've mostly been drawing commissions on Gaia and
I don't usually consider those my best work. :/

POEM

Something a little out of the ordinary for me.
I was thinking about how ~merili's tablet died.
And the other day I was reading "Annabel Lee" by Edgar Allan Poe.
So I wrote this quirky bit of weirdness in a notepad document. XD


<sub>It was many and many a year ago,
In a Best Buy by the sea,
That a tablet there lived whom you may know
By the name of Wacombel Lee;
And this tablet it lived with no other thought
Than to draw and be drawn on by me.

I was a noob and it was a noob,
In my photoshop suite CS3;
But we drew with a love that was more than love -
I and my Wacombel Lee;
With a love that the winged admins of DA
Coveted it and me.
And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this photoshop suite CS3,
A magnet fell off the fridge, chilling
My beautiful Wacombel Lee;
So that its matching tablet pen came
And caused it to fail for me,
To cause glitches in my dot PSD.
In this photoshop suite CS3.
The admins, not half so happy on DA,
Went envying it and me
Yes! that was the reason
(as all artists know, In this Best Buy by the sea)
That the magnet came off of the fridge by night,
Chilling and killing my Wacombel Lee.

But our love was stronger by far than the love
Of those with more talent than we
Of many far wiser than we
And neither the admins on DA,
Nor the art thieves online,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Wacombel Lee.
For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Wacombel Lee;
And I'm never bored when I feel the light cord
Of the beautiful Wacombel Lee;
And so, all the night's send, I lie down by the bend
Of the cord of my darling, my life and my friend,
Without a warrenty here by the sea,
In its tomb by the sounding sea.</sub>




Obviously, a huge knock off of the original.
But it gave me a laugh to write it and if it makes you smile, it'll make my day.

My husband comes home from Japan in... just a few days.
I'm going a bit crazy waiting for him, now that it's so soon.

I moved back out to California.
My mother's here visiting for a few more days.
We didn't have internet here for over a week, but it's back on now.
She's been a great help gettin things cleaned and ready,
but she always has to be doing something, it's a bit exauhsting.

Now that all the chores are done and I've taken her to all the touristy places,
she wants to start helping me pack to move again.
Which won't be for at least another four months.

Luckily now that the cable is back on,
I might be able to soothe her with reruns of NCIS. X3
